A doula is a trained professional who provides continuous physical, emotional, and informational support to a birthing person before, during and after childbirth to help them achieve the healthiest, most satisfying experience possible.
- 02
Countless scientific trials examining doula care demonstrate remarkably improved physical and psychological outcomes for both the birthing person and baby. Doulas have a positive impact on the well-being of the entire family.
- 03
Both Domonique and Sharde' are trained through DONA International
- 04
A Doula DOES NOT take the place of your partner. We support the birthing person and their partner with skills, knowledge, and experience. Your spouse/partner will be included in every step and given an opportunity for active recovery + rest during labor support.
- 05
Myself and/or my backup will make every attempt to support you and get to you as soon as we are able. I will provide phone/text/video support as much as possible when the technology is available. Anything that results in our absence at your birth will be addressed on a case-by-case basis and may result in a partial refund.
- 06
If a failure to attend your birth is due to a rapid labor (baby is born less than 60 minutes after you call me and ask me to come, we will provide one additional 2-hour postpartum visit.
- 07
We take on two clients per month.
